EXHIBITION ESSAY
‘a very lovely show of artists whose practices share simmilaritiities pt. I’ is a very lovely showing of artists who have practices that are based in similar energies, concepts and aesthetics. It’s also kinda about how similarities, is quite a difficult word to spell. In a kinda unapologetic way… like stuff youse, simmilartiities is a semi similar way to spell similarities. Anyways… this show is intended to celebrate the commonalities between differing context and practice.
Some people would call my job for this show as ‘curator’ but I think ‘empowerer of the evangelising of truth setting’ is maybe a more appropriate (and fancy oooh la la) way of describing what’s going on here. Essentially there are 2 truths to this show that I want to sing true. The first of course, is that simmilaritiities is quite a tricky word to spell. And secondly, (but by no means most importantly) is that through the social construct of our ever-shrinking technological world, we push the internalisation of context deeper into our rattionialiaisesed underst…. Oh wow, rationalised is quite a hard word to spell too!
Anyways, I hope you enjoy A very lovely show of artists whose practices share simmilaritiities pt. I. I think it is full of very nice artists whose works speak to each other quite nicely. Essentially, I’m tooting my own scoot and saying that I have done a good job at ‘empowering the evangelising of truth setting’ in this show. Cheers.
